Solar System Art

Taking turns with the sponges and bubble wrap was a respectful way to work together and keep everyone safe. 

We lined up to wait our turn with the soap and water.

We sprinkled and splashed paint onto black paper to make some stars.

Then we used chalk to turn the concrete outside into a Solar System to explore.

We have been learning to join people in with our games and learning stations.

 

Joining in with others is lots more fun.

Look at how nicely we joined in with our new ABC bug game and the dress-ups.

 

We even joined in with some 'jibidi' folk dancing in the afternoon.
 

Queens and knights looking after equipment

We imagined that Room 12 was a Kingdom and turned ourselves into Queens, Knights and even unicorns.

We worked hard to makes sure all the equipment in our Kingdom was safe so that we could use it again another day.

We all helped to look after the equipment by putting everything away in the right place.

"I put away the security tags", said Dominic.

"I put away the dress-ups", said Talumeimua.

"I broke my lego ship so all the lego could fit back in the lego box", said Oska.

"I picked up paper from the floor and put it in the recycling bin", said Ainesh.

Helping heroes

There was lots of rubbish blowing around the playground after lunch so we put on our super hero masks and went outside to pick it up.

"Mr Dolan doesn't want a messy school", said Oska.

Taking turns

Today we invited Room 11 to come and spend the morning with us for Explore Galore.

 

There were lots of children so we decided we needed to learn to take turns.
