Food for energy

The 'Life Education' trailer was at school today.

We climbed up the steps and entered the trailer.

Rachel and Harold the Giraffe talked with us about 'energy' and how food is like fuel for our body.

We discussed foods that we should eat lots of (green), foods we could eat sometimes (orange), and foods we should only eat a little bit of (red).

Rachael showed us Tam's body which shows the internal organs. Jack pointed to the banana in her stomach. Most of the food gets squashed up and gets absorbed into our body to give our lungs, heart and brain energy so they can work well.

Do you remember what the most important brain juice is?
