Tanzania

WOW! Tanzania was amazing.

The children in Magugu LOVED reading your letters.

The children in the classroom that I worked in had 29 adorable 6 and 7 year olds.

They were very friendly and loved the new big books that we took for them.

Everyday the children ate porridge for morning tea and beans for lunch.

There is not much clean water in Magugu so the children fill up their drink bottles from the water barrel at the school.

5 year old 'pre-school' children.
Mrs Knowles, Miss Kent and I walked to school through the village.

We saw many huts made from mud and bricks.
Women carried buckets on their heads.

We even saw goats playing up a tree.

We went on Safari in the National parks and saw lots of exciting wild animals.

A cheetah stretching after a snooze.
A lioness lazing on a log

A baby elephant
Giraffes munching on the acacia tree leaves.
Zebras flicking flies away with their tails.

An eagle soaring gracefully in the sky.
Hippos relaxing by the lake.
Buffalo grazing on the dry grass.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your holidays.
Please remember your sunhats on Monday.
